BRADFORD J. PORTER

Dr. Bradford Porter was born in South Jersey and raised in Moorestown. He attended St. Lawrence University for his undergraduate degree and The Ohio State University School of Dentistry; graduating with honors from both schools. Following dental school, he completed a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) through Virtua West Jersey Hospital. Dr. Porter then practiced as a general dentist for one year prior to initiating his Oral and Maxillofacial residency program at the Medical Center of Delaware (Christiana Care). Following the conclusion of this four-year residency, Dr. Porter joined Dr. Edward Noble in this practice. Dr. Noble has since retired. In addition to Dr. Porter, the three-office practice is well served by Dr. Gene Martin, Dr. James Salman, Dr. Frank Doroba and our dedicated staff.
Dr. Porter is a past President of the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as, a past President of the Middle Atlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Formerly, he has served as the Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Virtua, and was on the Virtua Medical Executive Committee during that time. In 2008, he received the Virtua Physician Recognition Award. Dr. Porter continues to be very active with the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS). He has served on several AAOMS committees, and has represented the State of New Jersey as one of three national delegates.
Dr. Porter is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and a member of the American College of Dentistry. He has lectured nationally for the AAOMS educational courses; Advanced Protocols for Medical Emergencies, Anesthesia Assistant's Review Course, and the Anesthesia Assistant's Skills Lab. In the past, Dr. Porter has been a clinical instructor at both Temple Dental School and UMDNJ. He continues to be an instructor for ASCL (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) at Christiana Care in Delaware. He has been recognized numerous times by Philadelphia Magazine, New Jersey Monthly Magazine, and South Jersey Magazine as a "Top Doc".
